My grandmother used to tease my grandfather around this time of year. "The festive season of Lent," she called it. Probably because Grandpop was so scrupulous about Lent and his and everyone else's Lenten sacrifices. He wasa grumpy gus, she was always cheerful. They were a perfect for each other, really.

Anyway, I'd said I was giving up peanut butter and all peanut-related things, but I just know I'll fill that void with chocolate things. I'm a cheater that way. So... giving up chocolate, too. Let's see me find a way around that. I just know there's no other dessert to fill those voids. Take that, Me!!!

So when's Fat Tuesday? Oh, my God! It's Tomorrow! I better get on the ball and buy up every Ressee's cup and Snickers bar in sight!
